About us

Our Story

Are you looking for a church where you can think deeply and be spiritually curious? A place where you can experience God’s presence in your life? We’re here to support you on your spiritual journey.

Since 1902, our church has had a healing presence in Ridgefield. At that early date, several people, who had discovered a deeper connection with God and found healing as a result of their study of Christian Science, began to meet in private homes and later in rented spaces. For many years they met in the building that is now the office space for the Aldrich Museum of Modern Art, adjacent to the current church building, which was built in the early 1960s, at 260 Main Street, Ridgefield.

Services and Events

What’s Happening Soon

Part of what makes a church is the community getting together to get closer to God and share with each other. It’s a time to sing and pray together, support each other, and have some fun. You’re always welcome at out services and special events. It’s always come as you are. You can dress up or you can wear your jeans, just be yourself.

Science and Health

Do you ever wish your prayers could be more effective?

Have you ever poured out your heart in prayer to God but it doesn’t seem to do any good? Other times you’ve felt really connected to God in your prayers and things work out. And then there all those times when you have no idea how to pray about something and you feel a little helpless.

The roller coaster of answered and unanswered prayers can be really frustrating and disheartening.

This is one of the reasons Mary Baker Eddy (link) wrote her book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, to share deep insights into how to pray more effectively. In fact, the very first chapter in the book is called, “Prayer.”
